roland lachance

Roland Lachance was born in Maine and moved to Oklahoma in 1979, where he grew up in the Choctaw community. After graduating from Choctaw High School, he studied criminal justice at Rose State College and went on to serve 17 years as a police officer, driven by a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Roland has been married to his high school sweetheart, Chavelle, for over 33 years. Together, they have raised two daughters and are the proud grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters who bring them endless joy.

Faith is the foundation of Roland’s life. He has the honor of serving as an elder at Harrah Church, where he is actively involved in ministry and mentoring emerging leaders devoted to living out the Great Commission. His wife, Chavelle, leads the compassion ministry, offering care and support to those in need within both the church family and the surrounding community.

Chavelle Lachance has a deep heart for serving others and leads the Compassion Ministry at Harrah Church. Her calling is to extend the love of Christ in practical ways—offering support, encouragement, and care to those in need within the church body and the surrounding community.

Chavelle is also a devoted mother to two daughters and a proud grandmother of two granddaughters who bring great joy to her life. Together, she and Roland serve faithfully at Harrah Church, walking out their shared desire to see lives transformed by the gospel.
